- 02No. Travellers are responsible for making and paying for their own flight arrangements. Contact The Sojourning Swan if you need help.
- 03The most straightforward way has you flying into the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (a.k.a. “Roissy Airport”), then walking to the high-speed train (TGV) station located in Terminal 2 (the primary international terminal) and catching a train to the Avignon TGV Station: look for signs indicating “gare” or “train station”. Another possibility is to fly into Marseille and take a train from the Marseille-Saint-Charles railway station to the Avignon Centre Station. There are multiple daily TGV trains that travel to the Avignon TGV Station that normally take between 3 and 4 hours.
- 04If travelling from the United States, you must depart at least one day in advance of your tour start date. Some guests may choose to arrive in Avignon a day early to accommodate potential travel delays. Contact The Sojourning Swan if you need help making a pre-DAY 1 hotel reservation. The tour officially starts at 6 PM on DAY 1, so make sure you are in Avignon by then.
- 05The tour officially ends on the morning of DAY 11.

- 11This trip involves days with extended periods of standing and walking… on streets, sidewalks, cobblestone passages and dirt paths. Participation in the full experience may be challenging for those with physical limitations.
- 12Breakfast is served daily at the bed & breakfast and is buffet-style with many food and beverage choices. Depending on the day, either lunch or dinner will be provided at local restaurants. You will order from a regular menu or may have a set menu with multiple options available for each course. One glass of wine is included with the "meal of the day", chosen by the tour guide (ie, lunch or dinner). Any other drinks (including coffee, tea, bottled water and additional wine) will need to be paid for separately. DIETARY RESTRICTIONS: On the registration form, you'll see a place to note any dietary preferences or requirements that you may have. TSS will try its best to meet your needs, but keep in mind that French cuisine is “French” and that some of it may not be compatible with your diet. If you have specific concerns, feel free to email, call or text with questions.
- 13The Sojourning Swan requires that travel insurance be purchased to protect your financial investment. Policies can cover things such as trip cancellation, trip and flight delays, strikes, lost luggage and medical evacuation. You must provide proof of the travel insurance you buy at least two weeks prior to your trip departure. In addition, check with your health insurance provider to see what is covered during an international trip and determine if you need supplemental coverage.
